- Our denomination, Korean Evangelical Church of America, also known as The Korea Evangelical Holiness Church (KEHC), was founded upon the teachings of Jesus Christ and the apostles, focused on the Gospel, the theological heritage of the Reformation in the 16th century, the teachings of John Wesley in the 18th century Holiness Movement, the Holiness and Pentecostal movement of the 19th century International Apostolic Holiness Church in the USA, and the Fourfold Gospel tradition of the Oriental Mission Society(OMS) in the 20th century. Hence, the theological tradition of our denomination can be characterized as the Protestant Evangelical Wesleyan Fourfold Gospel Theology.
- KEHC was based on the teachings of John Wesley in the UK and the Pentecostal revival movement of the International Apostolic Holiness Church established by Martin W. Knapp and Seth C. Rees in the United States.
- KEHC teaches that the Fourfold Gospel of Regeneration, Sanctification, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming apply to all areas of Christian life, which include the church, family, society, and the individual.
- KEHC adopts “The teachings of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, especially Regeneration, Sanctification, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming” as the first guiding principle of the Church (Article 4 of the Constitution).
